PRINCES CHAMEAUX gibt es jetzt knapp vier Jahre. Das Trio aus Paris, das in der musikalischen Tradition *Mano Negras*, bzw. deren Vorläufer-Band *Hot Pants* folgend auch erst in Metro-Stationen und unzähligen Bars und Kneipen aufgetreten ist, hat sich einen respektablen Ruf als explosive Live-Band mit herausragenden Bühnenqualitäten erspielt und ihr Bekanntheitsgrad in Frankreich ist stetig am wachsen. Sie sind erfrischend jung, ungestüm, mitreißend und liefern regelmäßig sehr energievolle Konzerte ab. Dabei lieben sie lieben den engen Kontakt zum Publikum, um quasi sie gemeinsam zu feiern, zu tanzen und zu schwitzen. Wie so viele französische Bands haben sie gelernt sich ihr Publikum zu erspielen und tun dies auch gerne mal vor dem Club, wenn das Wetter es zulässt, bzw. spielen in der Bar noch solange weiter, bis es nichts mehr zu trinken gibt. Freuen wir uns auf eine weitere erfrischende Band von unseren westlichen Nachbarn, wo es anscheinend einen unerschöpflichen Quell hervorragender Live-Bands gibt, die hierzulande noch niemand entdeckt hat.

Princes Chameaux is an explosive french band formed in 2004, playing around in bars and pubs of the French capital and its suburbs. These three spontaneous and authentic musicians express their pleasure and need to play trough a unique live energy and performance that marks the public at each concert. The lyrics are written on the road, in train compartment painting us Routine of everyday life, women’s love, men’s brawl, Freedom of yelling … and the words make perfect sense with the raucous voice of Benoï. By playing in the street, bars and on stage, the band’s reputation is starting to grow seriously on the French scene. They have a real authenticity, they’re close to their public and people can feel that bound. Their strength: that peculiar complicity, a wild energy they use with pleasure to play and sweat together... offering their guts. In 2006, Princes Chameaux is entering the CRY, a French developing system helping bands on their way to become pro. Between 2007 and 2008 they are noticed by Papaluna, a French label and soon after by Zaïne Music which are going to join their effort to develop the band. September 2007, a live record of their gig at “La Bellevilloise” (Paris) is made and produced by Papaluna, released in February 2008. The band is now working on their first album, which should be released early 2009 in France.
