Kairo, Athen, Karthago, Rom, Konstantinopel, Lissabon, Madrid, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Berlin >>> dass sich Europas kulturelles Epizentrum entgegen der letzten Völkerwanderung nach Norden verschiebt, ist eigentlich nicht einzusehen –  und doch (...). Dass sich of all things die kleinen, skandinavischen Drei-, Vier-, Fünf-Millionen-Völker der angloamerikanischen Kultur-Hegemonie entgegenstellen, ist ein Ding. Aller Voraussicht nach gehört das 21. Jahrhundert kulturell den Wikingern. Aber Spaß beiseite: Friska Viljor, Maria Timm, die Shout Out Louds, Johnossi, The Broken Beats, Nervous Nellie – das Border-School-Modell greift um sich – greift sogar in Mischformen. Kristina Kristoffersen verleiht dem dänisch-US-amerikanisch-deutsch-russischen Konglomerat SPURV LÆRKE jenes Lächeln, das immer nur skandinavische Bands besitzen. Das bleckt, blitzt, glitzert und rotiert, als gäbe es kein Gestern. Ein Thor (ha,ha..) der was dagegen hat. Märchen vom Rande des großen Otters, dargeboten in aller Unschuld, feilgeboten den Kritikern und Spöttern, tanzend unter Discokugeln, als ob’s kein Morgen gäbe.
Und genau dort, im Norden, zwischen Gestern und Morgen, blühen die Geschichten vom Mädchensein, von Cinderella’s Frauenarzt, der sich als Stalker entpuppt und anderen Gediegenheiten.  
 ...ach so, und ob die Musik nun Prä-, Post- Avant- oder Dingenskirchen-Punk ist, sollen andere beurteilen. Mir reicht: Sie jauchzt vor Angst und heult vor Freude – das war schon immer genug.
Und das  21. Jahrhundert gehört  den Wikingern. Wetten?! Aber Spaß beiseite.

The idea that Europe's cultural epicenter  is moving north against the actual southerly exodus is hard to buy. Yet still, the fact that small scandanavian nations resist angloamerican cultural hegemony is really something. In all probability the 21st century belongs to the Vikings. However, all kidding aside, the multi-culti concept  is emerging: Friska Viljor, Maria Timm, die Shout Out Louds, Johnossi, The Broken Beats, Nervous Nellie - and emerging in new forms. Kristina Kristoffersen lends the Danish/America/German/Russian conglomerate SPURV LÆRKE this smile, and always only scanadavian bands have. The sparks, flashes and glitters as if there was no yesterday. Only a fool would object. Fairytales on the brink of the big otter, presented dancing innocently under discoballs as if there were no tomorrow are peddled to critics and naysayers. And there in the North, between yesterday and tomorrow, blossoms the stories of girlhood, of Cinderella's shrink (who turns out to be a stalker) and other virtues.
…oh, and if the music is pre, post, avant or what have you, is for some one else to decide. It's enough for me that you exalt in fear and wail in happiness. That has always been enough.
The 21st century belongs the Vikings. You want to bet?! All kidding aside.
