Mestizo, Patchanka, Rock / Rom, Italien

REIN kommen aus Rom und haben es inzwischen zu einem beachtlichen Erfolg in Italien gebracht. Mehrere hundert Konzerte (in Italien) darunter auch diverse grössere Festivals. Nun endlich dringt ihr guter Ruf auch über die Alpen zu uns in den Norden. Denn ihr globaler Sound, eine Mischung aus Rock, Punk, Jazz auf der einen und Reggae + Dub Vibes auf der anderen Seite – kurz Mestizo-Rock oder Patchanka  ist ja schon seit Jahren hierzulande sehr populär und muss sich keineswegs hinter den Alpen verstecken. So waren ja auch schon Bands wie Modena City Ramblers oder Apres la Classe hier auf Tour – Grund genug auch für REIN, die derzeit zu den aktivsten Alternative-Bands Italiens zählen, sich hoch in den Norden zu wagen. Für Rein ist es die erste Tour in Deutschland und wir freuen uns diese Band erstmalig präsentieren zu können.

Rein are one of the most active cult band in Italy. They have always tried to experiment new ways of making music. They put forward an opened artistic production model, based on sharing. This policy has brought them to count on the support of a large audience, on the collaboration with many other artists, and on the interest of independent radio and media. Proudly independent from any label, they have at their backs hundreds of concerts. Even if they have renounced to production and distribution they sell thousands of copies. They took part to many important festivals (recently "Italia Wave Love Festival 09", "Play Art 09" - where they appeared in calendar with artists like Patty Smith, Placebo, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Ska-P and Tracy Chapman).
Rein's music is daughter of the globalization: Rock, Punk, Jazz, meet Popular melodies; join songwriters' tradition and melt with basic reggae&dub features too. It's a sound devoted to the idea of "Patchanka".
